Privacy Policy

This policy is a pre-launch template and has not yet been finalized.

This Privacy Policy explains how PostPop ("PostPop", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PostPop mobile application and related services (the "Service").

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: This Privacy Policy is a template based on PostPop's known and planned architecture. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified attorney, and the responsible legal entity name and jurisdiction must be added before publication.

By using PostPop, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Service, and information received from third-party providers that help us operate PostPop.

We aim to collect only what is needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service.

2. Information Users Provide

Depending on how you use PostPop, you may provide:

  • Contact details such as an email address or phone number, if you choose to provide them.
  • Brand and profile information you enter to personalize idea generation (for example, your brand name, audience, tone, or focus areas).
  • Prompts and inputs you submit to generate content ideas.
  • Content ideas you generate and choose to save within the app.
  • Any information you include when contacting support.

3. Automatically Collected Information

When you use PostPop, we may automatically collect basic technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the Service, such as:

  • Device and app information (for example, device model, operating system version, and app version).
  • General usage information such as features used and actions taken within the app.
  • Diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data.
Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Finalize the exact list of automatically collected data based on the SDKs and services actually integrated (for example, crash reporting or diagnostics tools). Ensure this list matches your App Store privacy nutrition label.

4. AI Processing

PostPop generates content ideas using a third-party artificial intelligence provider. When you request ideas, the prompts and relevant brand or profile context you provide are sent to that provider to generate a response.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate or unexpected and should always be reviewed before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI-generated ideas.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Identify the specific AI provider(s) used and confirm their data handling terms, including whether inputs are used to train their models, and reflect those terms accurately here.

5. Subscription Information

PostPop offers paid subscriptions. When you purchase a subscription, we receive information needed to manage your entitlement, such as subscription status, plan type, and renewal or expiration information.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple.

6. Apple In-App Purchases

Subscriptions and any in-app purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles your payment, billing, and receipts in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy and terms.

Your purchase history and payment method are managed by Apple, not by PostPop.

7. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and validate purchases. RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription-related information, along with an app-specific identifier, to keep your subscription status accurate across devices.

RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf as a service provider, subject to its own privacy terms.

8. Backend and Hosting Providers

PostPop plans to use Supabase for backend data storage and authentication, and Vercel for hosting backend/API services. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the Service.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Confirm which backend and hosting providers are actually live at launch (Supabase, Vercel, and any others) and update this section to reflect the final architecture and data locations.

9. Data Storage

Information you provide and generate may be stored on our backend infrastructure and on your device. This can include your brand and profile information, saved ideas, and account-related information.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Specify where data is stored (regions/data centers) and confirm any international data transfer disclosures required for your target markets.

10. How Information Is Used

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and operate PostPop's features, including AI idea generation.
  • Personalize idea generation based on your brand and profile information.
  • Process and manage subscriptions and entitlements.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
  • Monitor, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with:

  • Service providers who process information on our behalf (for example, our AI provider, RevenueCat, and backend/hosting providers).
  • Apple, in connection with in-app purchases.
  • Authorities or others where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

12. Third-Party Services

PostPop relies on third-party services to function, which may include a third-party AI provider, RevenueCat, Apple, Supabase, and Vercel. Each third party handles information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Provide a complete, accurate list of third-party services in use at launch, with links to their privacy policies where appropriate.

13. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Define concrete retention periods for each category of data based on your final architecture and legal requirements.

14. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. User Choices

You have choices about your information, including:

  • Choosing what brand, profile, and prompt information you provide.
  • Managing subscriptions through your Apple account.
  • Requesting access to or deletion of your PostPop-associated information (see the Data Deletion section).
Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Add any additional rights required by applicable law (for example, GDPR or CCPA rights) once your target markets and legal obligations are confirmed.

16. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your PostPop-associated information by emailing support@postpop.info from the address associated with your account. We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law.

Note that some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes. Purchases and subscriptions managed by Apple are subject to Apple's own processes.

17. Children's Privacy

PostPop is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Confirm the minimum age requirement and children's privacy obligations (for example, COPPA and the applicable age threshold) for your target markets, and align this with the Terms of Service eligibility section.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of PostPop after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

19. Contact Information

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at support@postpop.info.

Needs confirmation: CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH: Add the legal entity name and, if required, a physical business address and any region-specific data protection contact.
